In yet another embarrassment to Pakistan in its shocking lies-based attempt to paint an alarmist narrative around Kashmir, its former High Commissioner to India Abdul Basit on Monday mistakenly shared the photo of two adult film stars in his bid to continue the country's propaganda. A Twitter user captured the screenshot of Abdul Basit sharing a tweet on Kashmir claiming that a man in the region was injured by a pellet gun. The tweet had the image of a young woman crying and holding a man lying still on a hospital bed, both of whom are actually adult film stars. But the tweet said that the image showed  'Yousuf from Anantnag' and that he had lost his vision after being hit in a pellet gun firing.

Abdul Basit shares photo of adult film stars claiming 'violence in Kashmir'

Basit appears to have deleted the retweet containing the false information. But netizens spotted it and took a screenshot of his gaffe. This is not the first time that ministers and officials from higher echelons of Pakistan government goofed up while trying to spread false narrative of violence prevailing against Kashmiris in the region. Several ministers from Imran Khan's government, most routinely Pakistan's Fawad Chaudhry, have left Pakistan red-faced with their conduct in public. More so, Pakistan's President Arif Alvi has also been at the receiving end of a notice from Twitter for spreading fake news on India.

'Kashmir Hour'

On being questioned by a reporter over the 'Kashmir Hour' called by Imran Khan government, the young boy stated that India has an influence on the world through its economy and Pakistan does not stand equal to India in terms of the economy. He further asserted that Kashmir issue cannot be solved till the time Pakistan improve its economy to defeat India's. The Pakistani kid showed the mirror to Pakistan, saying that the world would not advocate Pakistan's stance on Kashmir, by affecting their relationships with India. He suggested Imran Khan government to first prioritise the growth and development of Pakistan over other issues.
