Update at 12:50 pm: It was a hit on India and its prestige. The soldiers who sacrificed their life should be compensated and hence this has to happen. The neighbour country had a major role in this. They supplied everything for these non-state actors and also gave the route map: Raksha Mantri Nirmala Sitharaman

The country is commemorating the second anniversary of the surgical strike that the Indian Army carried out against terror camps across the Line of Control in 2016. On the occasion, several events are organized throughout the country. 

Here's the full schedule:

CHENNAI: Raksha Mantri Nirmala Sitharaman will hold a Press conference at 11:45 am 

SHILLONG: Event showcasing and highlighting the valour of Indian Armed Forces will commence from 11 am

JAIPUR: Sapta Shakti command to celebrate the second anniversary of surgical strikes at 9:30 am 

JAMMU AND KASHMIR: Air Force Station Jammu organize static display at 11:00 am

DELHI: An exhibiting is held at India Gate on the occasion of the second anniversary of the Surgical strike at 11 am

Earlier on Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 'Parakram Parv' exhibition organized by Konark Corps at the Jodhpur Military Station. This is to commemorate the second anniversary of the surgical strike that the Indian Army carried out against terror camps across the Line of Control in 2016. The exhibition will showcase Army's might and contribution in nation-building.  

Full schedule of the event:

• The event was commenced with effect at 9 am and went on till 10:15 am on 28 September 2018
• The activities conducted during the event are as under:-

1. Wreath Laying Ceremony at Konark War Memorial (Konark Shahid Sthal)
2. Inauguration of Parakram Parv
3. Walkthrough and review the displayed arms and types of equipment

Indian Army carried out a surgical strike on Pakistan on September 29, 2016, and at least 38 terrorists were eliminated in the surgical strike. The precision attacks were carried out by the Indian Army after 19 soldiers were martyred in a Pakistan-sponsored attack.

Minutes after the videos of surgical strike, carried out by the Indian Army on Pakistan, were telecast for the first time on TV, the man who led the surgical strike,  Lt Gen DS Hooda authenticated the sensational videos.
