Patel Jagrukta Manch puts up Hardik Patel hoardings in Bihar ensuring safety to Biharis living in Gujarat

In the wake of the attack on people of Bihar in Gujarat, Patel Jagrukta Manch has put out hoardings across Patna, featuring PAAS leader Hardik Patel on them, to ensure security and all possible help for the safety of Biharis living in Gujarat.

In the wake of the attack on people of Bihar in Gujarat, Patel Jagrukta Manch has put out hoardings across Patna, featuring PAAS leader Hardik Patel on them, to ensure security and all possible help for the safety of Biharis living in Gujarat. The posters also have helpline numbers written on them to extend help to any person in need. The posters also say that people hailing from Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, who have come to Gujarat for work, and are being assaulted can contact on the helpline numbers. The posters also sport a line, which says "Bihariyon par atyachar bardasht nahi (Attack on Biharis won't be tolerated)". 

The posters have been put under the banner of Patel Jagrukta Manch by its convenor Sanjay Patel. Patel while speaking to Republic TV said, "If one Hindi speaking person has done something wrong, it doesn't mean that everybody is wrong. In the name of regionalism, Alpesh Thakor is promoting criminalisation. Now, Hardik Patel has come out openly in solidarity with people of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh who are under severe attack which has led to mass exodus from Gujarat."

Earlier on Monday, Republic TV accessed a video wherein Alpesh Thakor can be seen making a divisive speech, thirteen days before tension began in Gujarat. In the video, Thakor can be seen saying, “These people who have come from outside they commit crime over here (unclear) and then beat our villagers in their own village.”

Recently, Bihar Deputy CM Sushi Modi demanded the arrest of Alpesh Thakor, who is alleged to be instigating the Thakor sena against people from North Indian states. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also condemned the attack and said that he spoke to the Gujarat Chief Minister about the security of Biharis in the state. 

Thousands and Thousands of migrant workers from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan are fleeing the state of Gujarat after being attacked continuously, following a hate campaign against North Indians in Gujarat, which started after the rape of a 14-month-old toddler by a man from Bihar.
