PM Modi arrives in Brazil for BRICS Summit, receives grand welcome
PM Modi is all set to attend the BRICS Summit in Brasilia on November 13 and 14. He arrives in Brazil on Wednesday morning. He had tweeted about his schedule.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Brazil where he is all set to attend the BRICS Summit in Brasilia on November 13 and 14. He was welcomed in a grand ceremony where commandos in blue lined on each side and gave him a respectful salute. On his official Twitter handle yesterday, the PM announced that he is going to take part in the summit and also disclosed the theme. He had further talked about his schedule on the sidelines while he is on his visit.
I would be taking part in this year’s BRICS Summit being held in Brazil on 13th and 14th November. The Summit’s theme is ‘Economic growth for an innovative future.’ I look forward to holding discussions with BRICS leaders on greater cooperation in a wide range of areas.

In another tweet, he also spoke about the various interactions that he plans to initiate during the visit. He also mentioned that he would be addressing the BRICS Business Forum.
On the sidelines of the BRICS Summit, I would be addressing the BRICS Business Forum and interacting with BRICS Business Council as well as the New Development Bank. Improving economic linkages augur well for the BRICS nations.

His tweet also explained this visit will give him a chance to interact with President and deepen the strategic partnership between the two countries.

PM Modi to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping
During the first day of the summit, PM Modi is scheduled to meet President of the Russian Federation, H.E. Vladimir Putin after which he will also head on to meet the President of the Federative Republic of Brazil, H.E. Jair Messias Bolsonaro.

Further, his schedule encompasses a meeting with the President of the People’s Republic of China, H.E. Xi Jinping. PM Modi will also be attending the closing ceremony of the BRICS Business Forum which will be held at the International Convention Centre of Brazil.
