PM Modi condemns killing of BJP leader Gul Mohammed Mir, says 'his contribution towards party will always be remembered'

In a shocking incident, terrorists killed BJP's district vice-president Gul Mohammed Mir in his house in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district on Saturday night. Prime Minister Narendra Modi condemned the killed of the BJP leader and said that there is no place for such violence in the country.

In a shocking incident, terrorists killed BJP's district vice-president Gul Mohammed Mir in his house in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district on Saturday night. Prime Minister Narendra Modi condemned the killed of the BJP leader and said that there is no place for such violence in the country.

Taking to Twitter on Sunday, PM Modi posted condolences message for BJP leader Gul Mohammed Mir, saying that his "contribution towards strengthening the party in J&K will always be remembered". Furthermore, he expressed condolences toward the BJP leader's family and well-wishers. 

On Saturday, BJP Jammu and Kashmir also condemned the killing of Gul Mohd Mir, stating that it clearly exposes frustration of the wrong elements who have no respect for the religion of peace.

Former J&K CM and NC leader Omar Abdullah also took to Twitter to condemn the killing of BJP leader Gul Mohammad Mir, saying "I condemn this dastardly act of violence & pray for the soul of the departed, Allah Jannat naseeb karey".

PDP president Mehbooba Mufti also condemned Mir's killing and expressed condolences to the bereaved family:

As per the police, three terrorists came to Gul Mohd Mir's house in Nowgam, Verinag area and asked for the keys for his car. While driving the vehicle away, they pumped bullets into Mir. He was popularly known as 'Atal' in the area.
