PM Modi gives full credit of Mission Shakti's success to DRDO scientists, says 'Undaunted by shameful mockery of few, they continue to serve Mother India'

Hours after PM Modi announced that India shot down a low-earth orbit satellite in space, making its way to the elite club of nations, which has mastered this anti-satellite (ASAT) missile technology, the Opposition went all-out against the Prime Minister levelling allegations and ridiculing the efforts of the DRDO scientists who carried out the 'Mission Shakti' successfully.

In a befitting response to the Opposition over their remarks against the mission, Prime Minister Modi went on to give the full credit of the successful operation to the DRDO scientists who 'succeeded in making India a part of an elite group of countries who have ASAT missile capability'.

Later hitting out at the Opposition wrote that the scientists remain 'undaunted' by the 'shameful mockery of a select few' as they continue to serve Maa Bharti.

PM Modi was replying to the tweet posted by Paralympic Games winner Deepa Malik who recently joined BJP, congratulating him and the scientists over the success of Mission Shakti, when he wrote:

While the nation was celebrating India's success of becoming a space superpower on Wednesday, the Congress party and its president Rahul Gandhi resorted to cheap politics on the matter, terming the massive success as 'theatre'.

Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter as he congratulated the DRDO for the achievement, but also took a sly dig at the Prime Minister.

In a series of tweets, the Congress party congratulated the scientists for this magnificent achievement, though, also made sure to take credit for the existence of such organizations.

Trinamool chief and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee also took to Twitter and politicised the stupendous feat by the country. Mamata Banerjee, who had earlier demanded proof for India's air-strike against terrorists across the Line of Control, called the proud moment for India announced by PM Modi a 'limitless drama'.
