PM Modi In Jharkhand: Inaugurates India's First Paperless Vidhan Sabha

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Thursday, inaugurated a newly constructed building of Jharkhand Assembly at Kute gram. The three-storey building has been constructed on a 39-acre land at a cost of Rs 465 crore. The foundation stone of the building was laid on June 12, 2015, by Chief Minister Raghubar Das.

First paperless Assembly

The PM inaugurated the building in the presence of Governor Droupadi Murmu and Chief Minister Raghubar Das. It is dubbed as the first paperless Assembly in the country.

The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation of the second multi-modal terminal at Sahibganj in Jharkhand today which is said to have been built by Inland Waterways Authority of India on River Ganges. It will have a cargo storing capacity of 30 tonnes per year, a stockyard, and parking and berthing space for two vessels. According to Chief Minister Das, the terminal is going to help in generating direct and indirect job opportunities for many people.

PM Modi brings more schemes for nation

Additionally, while in Jharkhand, the State which will go to assembly polls later this year, the Prime Minister is also scheduled to dedicate 'Pradhan Mantri Kisan Mandhan Yojana' to the nation from the state today. The scheme, that has an outlay of  Rs 10,774 crore for the next three years, will introduce and ensure monthly pension as social security to the farmers. According to the official PMO Twitter account, the Scheme shall secure the lives of 5 crore small and marginal farmers by providing a minimum pension of Rs 3,000 per month. The scheme is going to be beneficial for those who attain 60 years of age.

PM Modi will also launch the 'Pradhan Mantri Laghu Vyaparik Mandhan Yojana' and 'Swarojgar' pension schemes on Thursday. Under these schemes, beneficiaries between 18 and 40 years will get Rs 3,000 per month after completing 60 years of age.

PM Modi is also all set to lay the foundation stones online for 462 Eklavya Model Schools across the country, of which 69 will be established in 13 of Jharkhand's 24 districts. These schools will be set up to provide quality upper primary, secondary, and senior secondary level education to ST Students in Tribal dominated areas. Apart from that, PM Modi will also lay the foundation of a new Jharkhand Secretariat building which will come up at an estimated cost of Rs. 1238.92 crore. The new building will also have offices of 32 departments.

The Prime Minister also had, in September last year, launched the 'Ayushman Bharat' health scheme from Ranchi.
