In an election rally in Sonipat, Haryana, on Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has quipped at Congress asking what is the chemistry of Congress with Pakistan? PM Modi’s question was in relation to Congress stand on abrogation of article 370 saying that Congress feels the pain just like Pakistan when the country talks about Swach Bharat, surgical strike or Balakot, and article 370. Moreover, the statements of Congress are used by Pakistan to build a narrative against India.

Hitting out at Congress, PM Modi said, “Congress gets a stomachache when we talk of ‘Swach Bharat’, the pain aggravates when we talk about the surgical strike, and if by chance somebody talks about Balakot then their ache hits the peak. Now the country has also known why Congress pains so much.”

‘What kind of Congress' chemistry is this with Pakistan?’

In an attack on Congress, PM Modi added, “Why is Congress speaking in a manner which is liked by the terror-sponsoring neighbourhood, that it uses the statement of Congress leaders against India. Why do the statements of Congress leaders are liked by Pakistan? Congress should also speak something that can be liked by the people of India. Pakistan is using the statements of Congress to strengthen its narrative against India. What is this chemistry of Congress with Pakistan? What kind of chemistry is this? Whose chemistry is this? The people have to find out the answers to this question in this election.”

Adding further, Modi advised Congress that it can oppose him or abuse him as much as it wants but Congress should stop going against the national interest of the country and should respect ‘Bharat Mata’.

‘You broke their arrogance’

PM Modi made a veiled attack on Congress’ Bhupinder Singh Hooda, the former Chief Minister of Haryana. PM Modi’s rally was in Haryana’s Gohana.
