PM Modi inaugurates Butterfly Garden, releases a swarm of butterflies

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the eve of his 69th birthday inaugurated the butterfly garden near to Sardar Patel Statue and released a swarm of butterflies

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the eve of his 69th birthday inaugurated the Butterfly Garden near to Sardar Patel Statue and released a swarm of butterflies marking the inauguration of the garden before departing for performing the pooja at the banks of Narmada River near the Sardar Sarovar Dam. The Prime Minister visited his home state Gujarat and celebrated his birthday by surveying the tourism projects undertaken in the State by inspecting the developments that have been taking place in the areas near the Sardar Sarovar Dam, significantly boosting tourism in the area. PM Modi also shared a video of the majestic Sardar Patel Statue while on his visit to Kevadia. The statue is said to be the tallest in the world and was inaugurated by PM Modi himself.

Adventure Sports in Kevadia

A variety of adventure water sports including river rafting are also expected to come up in the area in a bid to boost tourism. Sardar Sarovar Dam has been a project close to PM Modi since he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat as the project is a lifeline of the State helping in irrigation and water supply to several districts and for the first time, the water level of the dam has reached its highest peak crossing 138 meters after the height of the dam was raised in 2017. The project suffered a lot of hindrances but has been a significant success and will be instrumental in fighting the agrarian crisis.

'Namami Narmade' Festival

The area near the Sardar Sarovar Dam has been decked up with flowers to welcome the Prime Minister as he will arrive to perform the pooja in a bid to flag off 'Namami Narmade' festival.

After the Namami Narmade Aarti, the Prime Minister is going to address a huge gathering in Kevadia village and then head to Gandhi Nagar to meet his mother before departing to Delhi.
