Quelling speculation over a purported 'cold shoulder' being handed to Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who is on an almost week-long visit to India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has tweeted an adorable throwback picture from his 2015 visit to the North American nation.

In the picture, tweeted from the Prime Minister's personal handle, PM Modi can be seen enjoying a lighter moment with Justin Trudeau and his daughter Ella-Grace. At the time of the visit, Trudeau wasn't yet Canada's Prime Minister.

PM Modi, who on Thursday campaigned in the poll-bound North-east, captioned the tweet:

"I hope PM @JustinTrudeau and his family had a very enjoyable stay so far. I particularly look forward to meeting his children Xavier, Ella-Grace, and Hadrien. Here is a picture from my 2015 Canada visit, when I'd met PM Trudeau and Ella-Grace."

Shortly before that, he had tweeted his anticipation over the meeting, writing:

"I look forward to meeting PM @JustinTrudeau tomorrow and holding talks on further strengthening India-Canada relations in all spheres. I appreciate his deep commitment to ties between our two countries."

The Trudeaus have visited numerous Indian cities since arriving, including Agra, Amritsar, Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Delhi. They have been to see the Taj Mahal, the Golden Temple, Sabarmati Ashram, IIM Ahmedabad and even interacted with Bollywood stars. On the business front, Justin Trudeau has secured commitments from India Inc to invest $1 billion in Canada and create 5000 jobs. The bilateral aspect of the visit begins on Friday. The Trudeaus are in India until Feb 24.
