Meanwhile, the Texas India Forum (TIF) is organizing a mega-event for Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Houston on September 22. Over a thousand volunteers have come forward to organize this community event for PM Modi. TIF has also confirmed that over 650 community organizations have already signed up to be 'welcome partners' for the program. Apart from this, 50000 people have already registered as attendees for one of PM Modi's largest community events. In addition, United States President Donald Trump will also join PM Modi.
Both leaders will jointly address the attendees. The event is said to be sold-out with the whopping numbers of expected attendees. The word 'Howdy' is a short form from 'How do you do?' which is a friendly greeting commonly used in the southwestern United States and therefore is the name of the event designed as a greeting to PM Modi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has previously addressed similar gatherings at Madison Square Garden in New York and the SAP Center in San Jose. The US Press Secretary in a statement announced that US President Donald Trump will be traveling to Houston, Texas, and Wapakoneta, Ohio to accentuate the important partnerships between the United States, India, and Australia.
