Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to visit Jharkhand on September 12. During his visit to the state, PM Modi will announce various development and pension schemes from the state.

'PM Modi will dedicate 'Pradhan Mantri Kisan Mandhan Yojna' and 'Swarojgar' pension schemes to the nation. In a series of development policies planned for Jharkhand, the Prime Minister will inaugrate a new Jharkhand assembly building and a multi-modal terminal at Sahibganj', Jharkhand Chief Minister, Raghubar Das said on Tuesday.

Modi to inaugurate Multi-Modal Terminal at Sahibganj

The multi-modal terminal was built by Inland Waterways Authority of India on River Ganga at Sahibganj. The terminal will also provide cargo storage of 30 tonnes per year, a stockyard, parking space and berthing space for two vessels, the CM added.

The new multi-modal terminal is expected to generate a lot of direct and indirect employment. CM Das also elaborated that PM Modi will be laying foundation stones virtually, for 462 Eklavya Model Schools across the country, of which 69 schools will be established in 13 of Jharkhand's 24 districts.  While in Jharkhand, The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for a new Jharkhand Secretariat building.

Jharkhand CM Raghubar Das said, "Monthly pension under 'Pradhan Mantri Kisan Yojana is being introduced as social security to all the farmers. Agriculturalists under 18 to 40 years of age can register themselves under the scheme. They will get Rs 3,000 pension per month after crossing the age of 60."

According to Jharkhand's Chief Minister, a total of 1,16,183 farmers have registered so far under the 'Pradhan Mantri Kisan Mandhan Yojna'.

PM to announce various Pension schemes 

In 'Pradhan Mantri Laghu Vyaparink Mandhan Yojana' and 'Swarojgar' pension schemes the beneficiaries between ages 18 to 40 will get Rs 3,000 monthly pension, post the age of 60. 'Pradhan Mantri Laghu Vyaparik Mandhan Yojana' will be a pension scheme for small business owners of the country wherein the government will provide them with Rs 3000 monthly pension post the beneficiary crosses the age of 60.

On his last visit to Jharkhand last September, PM Modi had launched 'Ayushman Bharat' health scheme.
