Bharip Bahujan Mahasangh (BBM) president Prakash Ambedkar demands that RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat should be arrested under the Arms Act for illegally possessing weapons. During a press briefing at the BBM party office in Mumbai on Tuesday, Prakash Ambedkar claimed that Mohan Bhagwat possesses deadly weapons.

"We have an Arms Act in the country that prevents anyone from possessing weapons. However, RSS people are often found with weapons with photographs of Bhagwat and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in which weapons like AK-47, multi-firing guns, shoulder-to-fire rockets have featured, have published earlier. I have asked the government to explain why no action is being taken against him," said Prakash Ambedkar

The BBM president further went onto threatening that his party would be in the forefront to organize protests throughout the country if the government doesn't take actions against them for illegal possession of weapons.

“The nation has armed forces to protect citizens. For what is the RSS raising a parallel army, then? In the coming days, protests will break everywhere and all manner of transport will be blocked in Maharashtra, if the government doesn't take any action in this case. We demand that the government should take action against Bhagwat under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) and confiscate all the weapons possessed by them," Ambedkar added.

BBM chief later Prakash Ambedkar argued as he said, “They say weapons are worshipped on the auspicious day of Dussehra. However, if I want to worship a tank or a combat aircraft on such occasion, would the government permit me to do so?” If an action can be taken against a common man for possessing even crude, country-made weapons, similar action needs to be taken against RSS chief Bhagwat.”

According to the Dalit leader, anyone possessing weapons like AK-47s is looked upon as terrorist in India and police initiate action against a person who possesses even a small pistol. Then police should also act against Bhagwat, who has been pictured with AK-47s in the past, demanded Ambedkar. He also stated, if the government failed to initiate action against Bhagwat, he would move court.
