Prince of Wales poses with pop star Katy Perry, pays tribute to Sikh community in India

Britain's Prince of Wales paid a tribute to the Sikh community by attending the Bangla Sahib Gurdwara during where he also tried Seva, known as voluntary work in the community kitchen. In a series of pictures shared by the official Instagram handle of Clarence House, the Prince of Wales can be seen trying a hand at flipping a chapati, with officials and other volunteers accompanying him. Addressing the Sikh Community, Prince Charles who will join the Duchess of Cornwall in Auckland said that he “valued and admired” the community. “This week as Sikhs everywhere honor the founder of your faith, my wife and I wanted you to know just how much your community is valued and admired by us all, and that our thoughts are with you at this very special time”, he said. 

In a personal message on the Clarence House Instagram page, the heir to the British throne earlier said: "As I depart for India, on my tenth official visit, I just want to convey my warmest best wishes to all of you in the Sikh community in the UK, and across the Commonwealth, on the 550th Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji," he said.
