As Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was granted bail in a criminal defamation case on Friday in Ahmedabad, he took to Twitter to share a video of him eating in a local restaurant. Even as the leader claimed that the cases against him are 'politically motivated', he added that he is glad to spend time with Congress workers. He shared a video in which he was seen eating in a restaurant with Congress workers. Here us the video:

Rahul Gandhi granted bail
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday pleaded 'not guilty' and was granted bail in a criminal defamation case filed against him for his slanderous remark for Home Minister Amit Shah. Gandhi also appeared before a second court in Ahmedabad, where he is facing another defamation case, for claiming that Ahmedabad District Cooperative (ADC) Bank was involved in a currency swapping scam post-demonetisation.

Additional chief metropolitan magistrate R B Etaliya, hearing the defamation suit filed by BJP corporator Krishnavadan Rahmbhatt, granted the Congress leader bail on a bond of Rs 10,000. Rahul Gandhi pleaded 'not guilty' to the charge in the suit. His lawyer sought exemption for Rahul Gandhi from personal appearance. The court said it will hear the plea on December 7. At a campaign rally in Jabalpur before Lok Sabha polls, Rahul Gandhi had made a slanderous remark against Home Minister Amit Shah. Filing a defamation suit against the leader, the complainant had said that Amit Shah was acquitted in the Sohrabuddin Shaikh fake encounter case in 2015, and hence, Rahul Gandhi's remarks were slanderous. On Thursday, the Wayanad MP also appeared before a court in Surat, in a defamation case related to his remark "why do all thieves share the Modi surname", made during the Lok Sabha campaign, earlier this year.
