Rajnath Singh meets U.S. Senators Ted Cruz and Maggie Hassan in Delhi
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh met U.S. Senators Ted Cruz and Maggie Hassan in New Delhi today. He spoke about ways to further strengthen India-U.S. relations.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday met prominent US politicians, Senators Ted Cruz and Maggie Hassan in New Delhi. The meeting was also attended by US Ambassador to India, Mr. Kenneth Juster and officials of the Ministry of Defence.
The official Twitter handle of the RMO also tweeted about the meeting between the U.S. Senators and the Defence Minister.

During the meeting between the Defence Minister and the US Senators, Rajnath Singh expressed his satisfaction over the progress made in the partnership between India and America. Singh also discussed ways to further strengthen the bilateral defence relationship between India and the U.S.

Rajnath Singh appreciates the role of U.S. in countering terrorism
During the meeting, Rajnath Singh termed America as the world’s oldest democracy and India's one of the most important and trusted partners. Applauding the growth of India- U.S. cooperation in the last five years, Rajnath Singh expressed hope in the expansion of the strategic partnership between both the countries to expand and flourish in the upcoming years. Rajnath Singh also appreciated the role played by the U.S. in countering terrorism. Adding further, Singh restated the Government of India’s commitment to work with the international community in combating the menace plaguing the world.

India- France Defence Dialogue
During his recent visit to France, Defence minister Rajnath Singh had concluded the annual India-France Defence Dialogue with French Armed Forces Minister Florence Parly in Paris recently. Enhanced strategic ties were on top of his agenda during the dialogue. During his visit, he also participated in the hand-over ceremony of the Rafale Jet. The Defence Minister also took a 25-minute long sortie in India's first Rafale Jet.
