Rajnath Singh wishes Khattar, Chautala as they become CM, Dy CM

After PM Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh took to Twitter and wished the newly appointed CM and Deputy CM of Haryana, ML Khattar and Dushyant Chautala

After PM Modi, the Union Minister of Defence, Rajnath Singh, took to Twitter and wished the newly appointed CM and Deputy CM of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar and Dushyant Chautala. Rajnath Singh in his tweet praised the duo and hoped for better governance in Haryana under their leadership. JJP chief Dushyant Chautala and the second-time CM of Haryana Manohar Lal Khattar took the oath in their respective positions on the occasion of Diwali on Sunday.

Dushyant Chautala's Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) decided to form the next government with BJP in Haryana. Both Khattar and Chautala sworn-in as the CM and Deputy CM in the presence of the Governor Satyadev Narayan Arya. The event was held at the Raj Bhavan in Chandigarh and it was attended by BJP national working president JP Nadda, Shiromani Akali Dal patron Parkash Singh Badal, and SAD party leader Sukhbir Singh Badal, among others. After Haryana Assembly elections, that were held on October 21, the saffron party sealed an alliance with it to get the absolute number.

Results in Haryana 

The results of the Haryana Assembly Elections witnessed BJP winning with a 3% increase in the vote share. While the Congress won 31 seats, the newly formed Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) under the leadership of Dushyant Chautala won 10 seats. After the election, Haryana Lokhit Party (HLP) candidate Gopal Kanda, extended his unconditional support to the BJP and claimed that he had the five independent MLAs with him. However, the saffron party did not accept his offer.
