The former Jammu and Kashmir DGP, Kuldeep Khoda, on Saturday in response to the Ramban encounter stated that this has been a major victory for the police and the forces, post-August 5, and this will go a long way in ensuring that the design of the terrorist backed by Pakistan and ISI is not allowed to succeed in Kashmir. He further stated that after the August 5 developments in the Valley, Pakistan has decided to infiltrate a large number of terrorists. "There is a huge assembly of trained terrorists across the border and the only way for Pakistan to show its anger towards the developments in Kashmir is to radicalise the society and also to ensure that the innocent Kashmiris are pushed into terrorism to destabilise the situation (sic)," he said.

On terrorists setting arms and ammunitions

According to Khoda, some of the Khalistani cadres based in Pakistan are trying to contact their counterparts in Punjab using drones to set arms and ammunitions. Speaking about the arrest of Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists recently, he said, "Sometime back, carrying arms and ammunition was intercepted in Kathua Sector hill in Jammu and Kashmir, wherein three Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists were apprehended along with arms and ammunition from Amritsar. This is the second incident now in which three terrorists have been killed. I am sure there are many more who are infiltrated who are waiting to see a large scale disturbance in the Kashmir Valley."
