To commemorate the Indian Army's crucial victory in the Battle of Tololing during the Kargil War 20 years ago, a trekking expedition to the Tololing Top was undertaken by the 2 Rajputana Rifles, with the expeditioners accomplishing the feat on Saturday.

The expedition was carried out by the 2 Raj Rif to mark the 20th Anniversary of the Kargil War, during which the 2 Raj Rif had stood the test of time. The Battle of Tololing had been a turning point for the Indian Army as it shaped further developments during Operation Vijay. The majestic Tololing stands atop in the Drass Sector as a testimony to the sacrifice, grit and perseverance of the troops of the Indian Army. The soldiers were determined to recapture this overtop which was occupied and guarded by the Pakistani infiltrators during the Kargil war.
