Following Pakistan's repeated transgressions as it violated the ceasefire numerous times in the week since February 26, Republic Media Network in its Special Report has covered the situation on the ground near LoC and International Border.
In this particular report, Republic Media Network's Amit Choudhary goes to the last vilage of Jammu and Kashmir which sees a lot of firing from Pakistan.
The last village from Poonch district is called Khadi Karamara and is located around 100 metres from Pakistan. As seen in the video, the area belonging to Pakistan can be clearly seen.
The village is an easy target for Pakistan as it attacks the locals not only by heavy shelling but more predominantly through sniper rifles. Residents have said that while most run towards their shelter during firing, there are many who brave the open.
The brave villagers have refused to leave their homes. As seen in the video, a bunker is being built for the villagers.
A resident says, "There is always a threat of heavy firing, but the area sees sniper fire most. You are at zero point, there can be firing at anytime. We want the firing to stop. THere are many suffered casualities and who are left who have been left. We wish both nations stop the firing. We don't sleep well at night due to the situation.
He also says that the residents support the Indian Army.
"We extend support to the Indian Army. I usually offer my vehicles to the Army as with their official vehicles they become a target for Pakistan," he added.
Duplicitous Pakistan showed its true colours to the world when on Thursday its Pakistan Army targeted Indian civilians in its continuous ceasefire violations, tragically killing a 9-month-old baby and 5-year-old child - siblings - and their mother, in Poonch.
J&K Police officials have confirmed the deaths of the three innocent Indians by the Pakistan firing in Salotri village of Jhalas area in Jammu and Kashmir.
