With the Opposition politicising the strike by the Indian Air Force on terror camps across the LoC, Republic Media Network's reporter Gursimran Singh has spoken to people living in the border village in Nowshera sector in Rajouri district where the Pakistan Forces had attempted to infiltrate and target the military installations in the region.

Gursimran Singh, spoke to the very people who are most vulnerable to the attack and incessant ceasefire violations by Pakistan. These people who also nobly call themselves the second defence, stood up fiercely for the Indian Forces.  They have witnessed and have faced first hand atrocities by Pakistan which continues to violate ceasefire.

The people of the border town have spoken in chorus standing with the Indian soldiers and criticised the Opposition for playing politics over the work of the Forces and their sacrifices.

Here is the transcript Q&A with the residents of the Nowshera sector of the video:

On Opposition demanding proofs for the first surgical strike and the recent IAF strike on terror camp:

Nowshera resident 1: It is very sad that our Opposition everytime questions our soldiers instead of praising them. I want to ask this question that the government who did such good work, our Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this is the first time we are proud that we live on the border and we stand fearless, we live on the second defence but whichever decision our government took was right. Our Army's morale was boosted, morale of our people was also boosted. Now we the people who live on the border are known as the second defence, we live in peace and if we don't give them answer in the language they understand, till then our... we must reply to them in their language

The government is questioned, the Army is questioned, everytime there is surgical strike, after all what exactly opposition wants?

Nowshera resident 2: According to me whatever Army is doing they are doing it right. We completely trust them. They should always reply to Pakistan the way they have did in the past.

On Army's carrying its duty for the nation:

Nowshera resident 3: Excellent, our Army is doing excellent, the way they are giving hard-hitting reply to Pakistan is commendable.

On the Opposition raising questions on the strike, and some even saying it was the wrong thing to do:

Nowshera resident 3: Absolutely rubbish, don't we want to avenge the deaths of our soldiers? Our Army is doing everything right. And this is what is supposed to be done.

Reporter asks an elderly woman whether the Army is right to avenge the deaths of its soldier:

Nowshera resident 4: Yes absolutely. Yes. If not this then what? Revenge should always be taken.

On Pakistan targetting Nowshera residents during ceasefire violations:

Nowshera resident 4: Yes it comes.

Eye witness account of the dog fight between India's MIG 21 Bison and Pakistan's F-16:

Nowshera resident 5: Two planes collided with each other and then there was some fight. A plane fell down and then the other plane also fell at some distance.  Both went in different ways. People who are sitting in delhi should come here and then they will get all their answers.
