In the aftermath of the Pulwama attack by Pak-sponsored Jaish-e-Mohammed, ties between India and Pakistan have sharply deteriorated, escalating tension on the international border. Following Pakistan's repeated transgressions as it violated the ceasefire for about 45 times in the week since February 26, Republic Media Network in its Special Report has covered the situation on the ground near LoC and International Border.
Republic TV's Tejinder Singh Sodhi has explained the situation on the ground near border villages in Pallanwala sector, Jammu and Kashmir. The Pakistan army has been targeting civilian places in Kashmir from the areas that are illegally occupied by them.
Pakistan has made continuous violation of the ceasefire from the other side of the LoC, targeting the civilians and local villages. As per the reports, the Pakistani Army is using houses across the border as human shields to target Kashmiris on the Indian side.
Moreover, Republic TV's Amit Chaudhary gave a brief report of the house where a woman and her two young children were killed following heavy overnight shelling by Pakistani army along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district.
On one hand, the PM of Pakistan Imran Khan talks about peace and on the other hand, his Army violates ceasefire and shelling in the residential areas of India.
Earlier at 6 am on Friday, the heavy shelling that started from Pakistan's side resulted in the destruction of this house. The rooftop exploded and the items in the house were shattered after the heavy overnight firing.
The local residents say that they fell unsafe whenever Pakistan violates the ceasefire.
"Nowhere to go and stay. There are even no bunkers given to us. We just take shelter inside the house and wait for the firing to stop. We are left with no other choice."
In the aftermath of the Pulwama attack by Pak-sponsored Jaish-e-Mohammed, ties between India and Pakistan have sharply deteriorated, escalating tension on the international border. On February 14, 2019, Jaish-e-Mohammed suicide bomber rammed explosives-laden vehicle into a bus ferrying CRPF jawans in Pulwama district in which 40 soldiers were martyred. India strongly retaliated to the cowardly attack by conducting an air strike in which terror camps of JeM in Pakistan were turned into dust and more than 245 on-foot soldiers and terrorists were killed in a matter of 17 minutes.
After the air strike on terror camps, Pakistan attempted to cause harm to India's military installations by violating India's air space.
IAF Wing Commander Abhinandan successfully chased out the F16 aircraft that intruded into India, however, Wing Commander Abhinandan was captured by the Pakistan government.
Following strong diplomatic action by the Indian government, which resulted in global pressure mounting on Pakistan, the Imran Khan government was forced to release the IAF pilot. Wing Commander Abhinandan returned to India through the Wagah-Attari border on Friday night just two days after he blocked Pakistan's efforts to attack Indian army facilities along Jammu and Kashmir.
