It was three years ago that shameful scenes were witnessed at the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in New Delhi - a public university financed by taxpayers' money - wherein groups of students raised atrocious anti-India slogans while protesting against the hanging of Afzal Guru - the mastermind of the 2001 Jaish-e-Mohammad attack on the Indian Parliament. While February 9 has for many years been witness to some form of demonstration or the other to glorify the attack convict who was hung on that date in 2013 and drum up hate and falsities against the Indian state, of late, it has been turned into a rallying point for certain groups that are inimical to the country, to spread, proliferate and echo their 'break India' message. No more and no longer! Republic Bharat has unleashed the #MeraBharat campaign, to drown out the Afzal league's celebrations and overwhelm it with a celebration of nationalism!
So speak out, don't give them an opportunity celebrate their anti-nationalism and 'break India'! Instead, send your messages with #MeraBharat - join up, let's build a better India instead.
