The Republic Summit 2018 is being held at the Trident Hotel in Mumbai on December 18 and 19. The event, which will involve discussion on various topics regarding India's future includes many prominent political figures and delegates. The event has now officially started with a performance by talented singer Shankar Mahadevan.
As Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at the occasion in Mumbai, the singer and his team took the stage. Shankar his sons Siddharth and Shivam Mahadevan and students from his student academy started the proceedings with a rendition of Vande Mataram. The music group really performed the patriotic song brilliantly and inspired one and all to bask in the spirit of nationalism. Dressed in traditional attire from head to toe, making the overall performance much more dignified and passionate. Other than the honourable Prime Minister the other notable figure present at the occasion were Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis among many other delegates. Shankar Mahadevan is a seasoned performer and one of the most talented singers and musicians in the country. For those who don't remember, he had also shared a breathtaking rendition of one of his famous songs on Independence Day which had praised the country's growth and the work done by the honourable Prime Minister.
His performances and stage shows aside, his recent work in the film industry included singing a track for Ajith Kumar's upcoming Tamil film 'Viswasam'. Titled as 'Vettikattu', it is a rustic, energetic track that celebrates the Tamil culture and the singer was particularly appreciated for his great performance on the track composed by D.Imaan.
