A day after marathon grilling session by the Enforcement Directorate, Congress president Rahul Gandhi's brother-in-law and AICC general secretary for Uttar Pradesh Priyanka Gandhi's husband Robert Vadra on Thursday took a veiled dig at the agencies with a post on social media.
Taking to Instagram, Robert Vadra, who is being questioned by the ED in the money-laundering case in alleged Bikaner land scam case, posted a picture of him surrounded by other people with a 'motivational' caption. In the caption, he sent out a 'style and health tip' for the agency which assumably is the ED.
"When you have self-belief n determination, an exchange of your energy n ways of being in any atmosphere is a learning n teaching ... a bit of style n health tips for the Agency too.😊", Vadra wrote on social media post.
On Wednesday, Robert Vadra was questioned for over three hours by the ED at Delhi's Jamnagar House in the money laundering case, however, recording of his statement was discontinued later after he said that he 'was not feeling well' to the Investigative officer. He had earlier also skipped the summons on Tuesday, citing bad health.
ED is expecting Vadra to join the probe again on Friday. He has been asked by a Delhi court to cooperate in the probe being conducted by the central probe agency.
The ED has been questioning Robert Vadra in the alleged money laundering case in the purchase of several London-based properties worth 1.9 million pounds. The agency had told the court that it had received information about various new properties in London that belonged to Vadra. These include two houses -- one worth 5 million pounds and the other valued at 4 million pounds -- six flats and other assets.
His statement is being recorded under Section 50 (powers of authorities regarding summons, production of documents and to give evidence) of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
