Hours after a Delhi court granted anticipatory bail to Robert Vadra in a money laundering case, the brother-in-law of Congress president Rahul Gandhi took to Facebook to express happiness and faith on justice over the verdict.

Taking to the micro-blogging website, Robert Vadra wrote that he is 'truly heartened that truth and justice have prevailed today', adding that his 'unwavering faith in the judicial system has been vindicated'.

'I am truly heartened that truth and justice have prevailed today. Even in the face of the barrage false allegations against me, I have constantly maintained that I will cooperate fully with all investigations and I firmly believe that the truth will speak for itself. My unwavering faith in the judicial system has been vindicated. I am deeply grateful to all my friends and well-wishers who have given me strength and support throughout," Robert Vadra wrote on Facebook.

A special CBI court on Monday granted relief to Robert Vadra and asked him to furnish a personal bond of Rs five lakh and a surety of like amount.

Along with him, his close aide Manoj Arora also was granted anticipatory bail. The court said Vadra cannot leave the country without prior permission of the court. It also imposed certain conditions on him and said he shall not tamper with any evidence, influence any witness in the case.

Robert Vadra has been facing allegations of money laundering in purchase of a London-based property at 12, Bryanston Square worth 1.9 million pounds.

Expressing happiness and contentment over court's verdict in the case, Robert Vadra' counsel and Congress leader Abhishek Mani Singhvi said Vadra is fully cooperating in the case. Adding that Vadra is being targeted due to political affiliation, Singhvi further said:

"The accused (Robert Vadra) on his own without any court order came back from abroad when the summons were issued. After coming back, he had had 68 hours of grueling investigations. There is no IOTA on evidence on how he tampered with the evidence in the case," Singhvi said while speaking to the reporters after the case verdict.
