RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat slams Imran Khan for his UNGA speech

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat addressed a rally at the RSS Dussehra Celebrations on Tuesday. In his address, he slammed Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan for his United Nations General Assembly speech in New York. The RSS chief said, that Pakistan Prime Minister has learnt a new mantra, that is 'if you can’t succeed in evil plans, then stop the RSS through disinformation'.

'Imran Khan spreading lies about Sangh'

He further attacked the Pakistan Prime Minister for his comments about the RSS in his speech at UNGA and said that Prime Minister Imran's claims are baseless.

Through baseless allegations, without any credible information, he(Imran Khan) says 'Guruji' (MS Golwalkar) founded the Sangh, he says 'Guruji' had considered Savarkar and Hitler as his idols.There is no basis for it, Why would you say that?  Is there any evidence for it? "We don't need any evidence,this reeks of arrogance," Bhagwat said.

Imran Khan attacks the RSS 

The Pakistan Prime Minister in his speech at the United Nations General Assembly had spoken extensively about the RSS and attacked its ideology. He said the RSS is inspired by Adolf Hitler and Mussolini. He also claimed that the previous Home Minister said that the RSS is training terrorists in camps. However, Imran Khan has attacked the RSS in many of his past speeches too and made similar claims about the Sangh.

'Government has shaped what the people of India wished for a long time'

In his address on Tuesday, the RSS chief also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government for the decision to abrogate article 370. he also asserted that all sections of the society have supported the decision to abrogate Article 370.

"Through this (Abrogation of article 370), the Government has shaped what the people of India wished for a long time," he said. 

Mohan Bhagwat was addressing the RSS members on the occasion of the Sangh's annual Vijayadashmi event, during which he also performed 'Shastra puja'. HCL founder Shiv Nadar was the chief guest for this year's event. Union ministers Nitin Gadkari, Gen V K Singh (retd) and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis were also present at the event.
