Ryan International Murder: No Separate Toilets For Staff, No Police Verification Of Employees, Reveals SIT

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) found out serious security lapses in the security arrangement at Ryan International School. A three-member team, which included the district education officer, was formed on Saturday to find loopholes in the security arrangement at the Gurugram school. The team was formed by Deputy commissioner (DC) of Gurugram, Vinay Pratap Singh.

Here’s What The SIT Found Out:

• The number of CCTV cameras installed inside and around the school campus were not adequate. Many of the installed cameras were found to be non-functional
• Lack of separate toilets for the school staff and students
• School’s boundary wall was found to be broken
• Lack of ramps for specially abled students
• The fire extinguishers in the school were expired
• The school did not carry out police verification of the staff members

Following the report, the team has recommended for strict possible action against Ryan International school in accordance to the education laws of Haryana.

The SIT Has Forwarded Following Recommendations Against The School:

• Derecognise the school
• Take over the management of school
• Impose heavy fines on the school

A show cause notice will be served to the school and the school management will be given 15 days to respond. If the response is not satisfactory, any of the above recommended actions will be taken against the school. The Report is with DC Vinay Pratap and he has forwarded it to higher officials of the education department for strict action against the school.

The body of a class II student with his throat slit was found inside the toilet of Ryan International School at Bhondsi in Gurugram.
