Sachin Tendulkar is one of the greatest cricketers to have represented India over the years. And it goes without saying that young aspiring cricketers have been massively inspired by the ‘Master Blaster.’ That’s the reason he was known as ‘Paaji’, someone like an elder brother in the dressing room.

Yuvraj Singh has been among this crop of players, who apart from looking up to Sachin has got the opportunity to pick his brains in the dressing room and make match-winning partnerships with him for the country multiple times.

Sachin and Yuvraj share a good bond and that was evident in the manner the 45-year-old wished the latter on the occasion of his 37th birthday. The former India captain lauded the left-handed batsman for his ‘legend’-like spirit in tackling every obstacle in life both on and off the field and called him the ‘one and only.’

The legendary cricketer wrote on Twitter and Instagram, “The spirit with which you have overcome every obstacle in life both on and off the field is the stuff of legends. Wishing a very happy birthday to the one and only @yuvstrong12! Have a great one. #HappyBirthdayYuvi.”

Yuvraj was naturally flattered with the praise and thanked the ‘greatest ever’ and conveyed his love, writing, “Thank you the greatest ever. Love u master. (sic).”

Yuvraj had famously stated that he wanted to win the World Cup 2011, where he was the player of the tournament, for Sachin, who was playing his last World Cup and hadn’t won one till then. Their match-winning partnership in the fourth innings against England at Chennai in 2008 is arguably their best moment on the field.
