Shatrughan Sinha makes a request to the PM amidst Patna floods

Shatrughan Sinha, the former actor and politician, took to Twitter amidst heavy downpour in Bihar which caused the loss of lives, to make a request to the PM.

Amidst heavy downpour, Bihar has been facing a serious case of flooding the past two weeks. Shatrughan Sinha, the former actor and politician, took to Twitter to make a request to the honourable PM in lieu of the floods. Sinha, in his request, asked the PM to look into the matter so that proper steps can be taken to help the people stuck in the situation. He further added than even an aerial view of the situation can provide to be helpful to gauge it better.

Sinha, in a series of tweets, further spoke of the situation in Patna. He added that the situation is grievous, stating that the people of Patna are being deprived of their basic needs at the moment. The veteran actor urged the concerned people to look into the matter so that proper aid can be provided to the ones in need at the earliest. Shatrughan Sinha, in conclusion, stated that he hoped that the 'unfortunate' would get relief as soon as possible.

Patna floods 

As the incessant rains created havoc across India, Bihar and UP have been hit by it the worst. The highest number of deaths have been reported in UP with Bihar losing more than 20 lives, according to reports. The State and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) have so far rescued over 4,000 citizens from the flood-affected regions in Patna. According to reports, 19 NDRF teams have been sent out for evacuation. Out of the 19 teams, five NDRF teams have been sent to Patna's flood-affected areas.
