Shikhar Dhawan has had a hot and cold run with the bat post his return from injury. Dhawan could not impress much in the limited-overs series against West Indies. 'Gabbar' seemed to have rediscovered his rhythm back in the three-match T20I series against South Africa where he played a couple of decent cameos but failed to convert them into big scores. Shikhar will not be a part of the upcoming Test series. He now has a short break and had recently appeared on a talk show where he had criticised Pakistan and one of its former cricketers for meddling in India's affairs.

Shikhar Dhawan gives it back to Pakistan

During a recent interview on the talk show of a news channel, Shikhar Dhawan was very critical of Pakistan and former skipper Shahid Afridi. Afridi has attempted to buttress his government's fake narrative following India abrogating Article 370 in J&K, and has made numerous statements against India in recent years. Dhawan gave it back.

Gabbar first referred to Shahid Afridi's tweets and said that if someone said anything ill about India then he will stand courageously and give a befitting reply. The opening batsman then added that the Prime Minister knows how to run the country and that we have a good government.

"We do not want any outsiders to come and give us advise", added Dhawan.

Dhawan, who is India's premier batsman in ICC events then went on to say that people who live in glass houses should not throw stones at others.

"Jinka khud kaanch ka ghar hain, woh dusro ke ghar par patthar nahi phenka karte."

Shikhar Dhawan praises MS Dhoni

Shikhar Dhawan had earlier stressed that MS Dhoni is at the liberty to choose if he wants to retire from international cricket. Sending a message to all those trying to give their opinion on MSD’s decision, Shikhar Dhawan also said that Dhoni surely knows a thing or two about taking important decisions. He also praised MS Dhoni for his good leadership and for his ability to understand each player’s strengths and weaknesses. He reiterated that MSD knew how to comprehend each player’s potential and optimise each of their strengths. Shikhar Dhawan added that all the current players, including Virat Kohli, in the team have immense respect for the former captain.
