A day after Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu attended the Kartarpur Corridor foundation stone-laying ceremony where he shared the stage with Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and Pak Army Chief Qamar Javed Bajwa, as per sources, he has also now held a closed-door meeting with Hafiz Saeed aide and pro-Khalistani leader Gopal Singh Chawla on Thursday.

Gopal Singh Chawla, an aide of the 26/11 terror attack mastermind and Lashkar-e-Taiba founder, took to his social media and even shared a picture with Punjab minister Sidhu in which he referred to him in as his 'brother'. This is after Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh had named Chawla as a terrorist while speaking to Republic TV

Here's Chawla's post:

In his 'personal capacity', Navjot Singh Sidhu had attended the Kartarpur foundation stone-laying ceremony, even as Punjab CM Capt. Amarinder Singh was not in favour of his visit to Pakistan, having declined his own invitation citing the terrorism that Pakistan so regularly perpetrates from its soil onto India.

On Wednesday, during the groundbreaking ceremony of the Kartarpur corridor in Pakistan, Navjot Singh Sidhu once again met Pak Army chief Bajwa three months after their infamous hug at Imran Khan's swearing-in. This time, Sidhu made it a point to shake hands with and speak General Bajwa. Despite having gone in his personal capacity, Sidhu was made a major part of the ceremony, with remarks from his earlier Pak visit being broadcast at the start of the proceedings, and by being asked to speak. In his speech, Sidhu lavished superlative on superlative on Pak PM Imran Khan, interspersing it with remarks about his joy at the religious aspects of the corridor's development. As he glorified himself as being a person who holds his head up high and lives without fear, he went on to offer a commentary on the relationship between the two countries, saying:

"We will have to change our way of thinking. Only with good thoughts can we become good people."

Following Sidhu, Imran Khan also issued a speech where he took a number of pot-shots at India, pitching Sidhu for India's Prime Minister and even inviting him to contest elections from Pakistan's Punjab.
