In another brazen case of VVIP racism, allegedly BJP MP's goons were caught on camera thrashing a toll worker in Agra.
BJP Etawah's MP and Chairman of National Commission for Scheduled Castes Ram Shankar Katheria with his supporters created ruckus at the Rahan Kalan toll Plaza on Inner Ring road Agra.
The BJP MP had three cars convoy and was in a rush to cut the queue to leave first, following which the toll employee questioned who all were sitting in the car. Following which, the toll worker was thrashed for asking the same.
Later, when the toll personnel protested, the supporters of Katheria shot two rounds of fire and the gun firing was recording on the CCTV footage accessed.
In the skirmish that occurred in Uttar Pradesh under the Yogi Adityanath government, four toll officers were injured. The incident occurred around 4 AM on Saturday morning when the Etawah MP was traveling along with his wife.
A complaint has been filed by the toll officer against the BJP MP.
In a similar incidence recorded last week, senior BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya's son Akash was caught on camera thrashing civic officials in Indore, Madhya Pradesh when they were on an anti-encroachment drive. The local MLA was seen hitting the officials with a cricket bat, slapping and kicking them along with other BJP workers who joined in the attack and in addition, verbally abused the officials. Akash was arrested by the police and was remanded for two days, with the court denying him bail in the case before being released on June 30. Akash was given a grand welcome as he was released and visuals showed sweets being distributed to people at the leader's residence.
However, PM Modi said during a party meeting in Delhi on Tuesday that 'whoever it may be, whoever's son he may be, such arrogance, misbehavior cannot be tolerated'
