A CRPF Jawan as killed and two others injured, after the teenage son of a Noida-based businessman reportedly rammed his speeding Mercedes into their car in Noida.
According to the Police, the collision occurred at South Delhi's Greater Kailash 1 after the teenager skipped the red light, hit the other car, climbed on the divider and stopped after hitting an electric pole.
The injured were instantly shifted to the trauma center by the PCR staff, according to the Police. The disturbing visuals show both the cars were completely destroyed and dented.
The incident occurred around 11 PM on Thursday. While further investigations are underway, as of now, the Police has said that the teenager was not under influence.
According to the Police, the three work as constables with the CRPF and reside at the quarters in Sector 4, Pushp Vihar.
The 19-year-old who studies in London was reportedly in India for a holiday and has been arrested under a bailable warrant. Bail has already been applied for the businessman's son.
Delhi Police said, "Last night at the accident occurred at 10:59 PM. A Mercedes hit a WagonR, after jumping the red light. There were three people in the WagonR, and work in the CRPF. One has been discharged, while the other has died. The car has been taken into custody."
The businessman apparently owns an iron business in Noida sector 2, according to PTI reports.
