In a shocking development, Bhim army chief Chandrashekhar Azad has made an open call for threat saying that he will repeat a 'Bhima Koregaon-like violence' in the country if the Constitution is tampered with.

In a video accessed by Republic TV, Chandrashekhar can be seen addressing a rally and openly calling for 'Bhima-Koregaon-like violence' threats, citing Constitution as a reason.

‘Listen carefully, before you vote remember the martyrdom of Rohith. Do you remember Rohith Vemula? Do you remember UNA Kand (incident)? Do you remember Shabbirpur? Do you remember Phagwara incident? Who pulled the trigger? Who killed our people? Will you forget all these and vote? Go ahead and vote, but remember this, opressor will always remain opressor. That's why I said, we will repeat Bhima Koregaon. This is a matter of country's respect. We will repeat Bhima Koregaon," Chandrashekhar Azad said while addressing a rally.

This development has come only days after Congress General Secretary for Uttar Pradesh East Priyanka Gandhi Vadra along with Jyotiraditya Scindia visited Meerut and had met Chandrashekhar Azad in Meerut.

"He is a young man who is struggling & raising his voice, but this govt is trying to suppress his voice. I am here because I like his energy&the way he raises voice for youth," said Priyanka, who met Chandrashekhar in Meerut at a hospital where he was undergoing treatment.

On Monday, the Dalit leader was taken into the police custody along with his supporters for allegedly violating the Model Code of Conduct (MCC), which is active in light of the ensuing Lok Sabha 2019 elections.
