Uttar Pradesh BJP MLA Vikram Saini on Friday made a controversial statement by saying he will bomb those who don't feel safe.

The MLA from Muzaffarnagar has said that  'They are traitors who say we are not safe and must be taken to task. My personal view is that those who say they feel unsafe  and threatened in India should be bombed, give me a ministry and I will bomb all such people, not even one will be spared. Such people who don't feel safe should go to a place where they feel safe."

Following this, Raj Babbar, UP Congress Chief remarked on Saini's comment.

He said that "CM says 'thok do', MLA who aspires to be minister says will bomb people. He should be arrested and punished. He is speaking like a terrorist, must be probed for terror links.

Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah had made a reference in December to the Bulandshahr unrest while speaking to a YouTube channel saying that the "the death of a cow is more important than that of a police officer". He also said that he worried about his children over communal violence.

"The poison has already spread. It will be very difficult to capture this djinn back into the bottle again. There is complete impunity for those who take law into their own hands. In many areas, we are witnessing that the death of a cow is more important than that of a police officer," said Shah to the channel

After the violence in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, where a mob went on a rampage over cow slaughter claiming the life of SHO Subodh Kumar Singh and a 20-year old Sumit, CM Yogi Adityanath faced flak for ordering the probe of those involved in the cow slaughter. As per an official spokesperson, the UP CM was of the view that the incident "is part of a bigger conspiracy, and hence all those directly or indirectly related to cow slaughter should be arrested in a time-bound manner."
