The former chief minister of Bihar Lalu Prasad Yadav's older son, Tej Pratap Yadav has purchased a road breed at the rate of Rs. 80,000.
The road breed horse from Marwar region in Rajasthan was bought in a fair on the Brahmpur block of Buxar district in the state.
Tej Pratap, before purchasing the animal tried his hand on multiple horses by riding them and finally purchased a six months old horse, or a weanling.
While bought from Rajasthan, his horse was taken home, to Patna in a pick-up van. However, the horse is still very young, and will only be fit for riding six months later, when he turns a year old

In pictures, he could be seen riding a brawn brown horse in an open field, while the politician wore all black. Tej Pratap's new horse also had a marigold garland around his neck.
Lalu Prasad Yadav's son has been a horse enthusiast, so much so that the former health minister of Bihar rode a horse from his parent's residence to his house to celebrate Christmas and curb pollution. He harped on the benefits horse riding has on the environment.
His admiration for horses could also be seen during his wedding when the Yadav son had as many as 50 horses during his wedding.
