The Delhi police have lodged an FIR against a self-styled Godman for allegedly raping a woman.
A senior police official said that they received a complaint in this respect from Delhi Commission for women following which action was taken and a case was lodged.
According to the information, the Delhi Commission for Women received a complaint from a woman aged 24 years wherein she alleged that she was raped inside an Ashram in Janakpuri by a fraud baba and was molested by his lady accomplice.
She informed that she worked as a teacher in a leading school in Delhi NCR where she met a senior from her college Sunita (name changed) who was also a teacher in the same school.
Sunita introduced the victim to the accused Baba and took her to his ashram in Janakpuri. Sunita had narrated her own experience stating how she was miraculously cured by the Baba.
"One day, I agreed to visit the Ashram with Sunita. Sunita told me that I should only eat if I want to heal my soul. We reached the ashram in the evening after finishing school where we met a lady who introduced herself as the Secretary of the Baba. The Secretary engaged me in an intense conversation lasting several hours which left me exhausted mentally and physically," said the victim.
She has mentioned in the complaint that as she had eaten only fruits throughout the day, she felt extremely weak and expressed her desire to leave the ashram. She requested the Secretary to meet another day. However, Sunita and the Secretary insisted her to stay back to complete the healing session and Sunita convinced her to stay overnight.
In the night she was made to take a bath by the secretary and given food laced with sedatives.
"I was shocked when I saw Sunita entering my room semi-nude. Baba also entered the room and was completely naked. Thereafter, Sunita started touching me inappropriately and the Baba raped me," the victim said.
The police said they lodged a case and conducted a raid at the Ashram.
"While the accomplice of the Baba has been arrested, her colleague and the Baba are absconding. Delhi Police is conducting raids at several locations to nab the accused," said a senior police official.
