"There Is No Scandal In Rafale," Reiterated CEO Of Dassault Aviation Éric Trappier, Nullifying The Opposition Allegations

The CEO of Dassault Aviation Éric Trappier, are cemented on the contentious Rafale deal through his statement rejected any sort of corruption in the deal.  

Negating Rahul Gandhi belief notion, Trappier said, "There is no scandal with Rafale, if we had the request for 36 aircraft and we are going to deliver it. If the government of India wants more aircraft, we will be more than pleased to deliver." 

Trappier, speaking over the Comptroller and Auditor General report that was tabled in the Parliament last week said that he was 'very relaxed'

He said, "I am very relaxed after the CAG report. I am not nervous, but confident about working straight, as this is a good deal." 

He further reiterated the report that highlighted how the UPA's negotiated non-deal price or the current NDA government's sealed-deal price - is cheaper.

He said, "The price is better compared to before." 

The CAG report putting an end to the political storm noted that the NDA deal is 2.86% cheaper than UPA price. 

Further notifying that the first Rafale Aircraft will be released in September, and followed by one each month, speaking at the Aero India 2019 in Bengaluru, the Dassault Aviation CEO showcased the first Falcon 2000 cockpit produced under 'Make in India.'

He said, "We are more than proud to show today in our stand what we have produced in Nagpur, the first Falcon 2000 cockpit manufactured under the 'Make in India' policy in one year."

As per the tabled CAG report, here are the components: 

a) Flyaway Aircraft Package: No variation

b) Services, Products - Operational Support Equipment (OSE) & Technical Assitance, documentation, Programme management - NDA deal 4.77% cheaper

c) India Specific Enhancement - NDA deal 17.08% cheaper

d) Standards of preparation - No variation

e) Engineering Support Package - NDA deal 6.54% more expensive

f) Performance-based logistics - NDA deal 6.54% more expensive

g) Tools, Testers & Ground Equipment (TTGE) - NDA deal 0.15% more expensive

h) Weapons Package - NDA deal 1.05% cheaper

i) Role Equipment - No variation

j) Simulator & Simulator Training Aids Annual Maintainence - No variation
