This 9-Year-Old's Contribution To The Victims Of Kerala Floods Is Heartwarming!

The Kerala floods have till date claimed more than 300 lives, disrupting normal life from the face of the state.

The Kerala floods have till date claimed more than 300 lives, disrupting normal life from the face of the state. Several thousand are still stranded at their house, while several others have taken refuge at relief camps set across the state. Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Kerala on Friday to conduct an aerial survey of the state. As the people in flood-hit Kerala fight hard to survive, a 9-year-old's gesture towards the victims of the Kerala floods is warming the hearts of many. Anupriya from Vizhuppuram, Tamil Nadu has been saving Rs 5 for a bicycle, for quite a while now, but once she saw and heard about the condition of people in Kerala, she decided to donate her money that she was collecting over the years in her five piggy banks that now totally amounted to Rs 9,000 to Kerala relief.

Her contribution has been lauded by many, and many people have posted tweets on Twitter appreciating her gesture. The first tweet was posted by Ethirajan Srinivasan who shared a newspaper clipping of the nine-year-old girl on August 19, which mentioned her contribution. Soon, the tweet went viral and now has around  3,500 likes and more than 1,700 retweets.

As the news of her contribution went viral, many came forward to help her, and bu her a cycle. And, lo Behold! She was bought one. Her contribution has struck a chord in many hearts, and Netizens are all praise for her gesture. Around hundreds and thousands were left stranded in Kerala, as it recorded one of the worst floods in the century. although the flood water has started reducing in some areas, the main problem seems to be of clean drinking water and diseases. The state is in desperate need of technical and medical assistance.
