Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday addressed the newly elected NDA leaders at the Central Hall of the Parliament, two days after his historic victory in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. In the PM Modi's Parliament address, one phrase stood out for Chairman of Mahindra Group, Anand Mahindra.
Taking to Twitter, Anand Mahindra stated that PM Modi's quote "Ab hamara koi paraya nhi ho sakta hai" (Now, no one will be a stranger to us). He added that the phrase should "eventually become as memorable as 'Tryst with Destiny'. Stating that 'all economic goals are secondary, Anand Mahindra stated that 'this aspiration is far more vital'.
On Saturday, PM Modi in his speech had spoken about minorities being cheated by the Opposition, stating that it must be stopped immediately.
"Unfortunately, the illusion has created a sense of fear among the minorities. It would have been better that the minorities would have been worried about their education and health. In 2019, I expect you to break this illusion. We have to win their trust," he had said.
The business tycoon spoke about 'Tryst with Destiny', which is the first speech by independent India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru in the Constituent Assembly on the midnight of 14-15 August 1947.
On May 23, PM Modi led his NDA alliance to a landslide mandate in the 2019 General polls by winning 353 seats out of 542 seats in the Lok Sabha, with BJP winning 303 seats in its own.
