There's a school of thought that Monday morning actually begins on Sunday evening, and there's an indication that Mahindra & Mahindra group Executive Chairman Anand Mahindra appears to subscribe to this outlook.

Who hasn't felt that inescapable sense of doom and gloom while departing home for work on the first day of a new week? Yet, despite all attempts at denial, irrespective of how many times you snooze that alarm clock and try to catch that 41st wink, Monday always arrives.

For those who are lucky enough to have 5-day-weeks, Friday evening feels like the gateway to endless opportunities. In terms that have nothing to do with Einstein, Relativity appears to make the coming two days feel a lot longer! Want to go on a whirlwind trip? Sure! Want to be lazy and vegetate? Great! The world is your oyster.

However, in the background, forces are at work waiting for the long countdown to inevitably wind down. And in this day and age, in one way or the other, things conspire in a way that you're already behind even before you begin.

Setting this into context, Anand Mahindra has shared an image which makes a very meaningful point. It's clearly in a restaurant, and in it, the server has his hands full -- literally!

In one of his hands, the young man is holding an ungodly number of bowls piled with food. There are nine bowls of rice. Six bowls of another dish. And five of what looks like gravy. That's 20 bowls! To add to that, he's got three bowls in his other hand. People at the restaurant are clearly quite bamboozled at the Olympic-level feat they're witnessing (likely with their fingers crossed that all that delicious food makes its way to them unharmed).

The image has evoked a certain feeling in Mr Mahindra, which he describes thusly:

So a full mailbox can have even someone like Anand Mahindra nervously tweeting with trepidation! Do the rest of us have any chance?
