Three police officials transferred in connection with Bulandshahr violence

The Bulandshahr SSP Krishna Bahadur Singh has been transferred. The SSP's transfer is the third one to happen. Earlier the circular officer and the chowki in-charge were transferred.

Heads are rolling after the horrific Bulandshahr incident in which Police Inspector Subodh Kumar Singh and a 20-year-old youth were killed by a violent mob. 

The Bulandshahr SSP Krishna Bahadur Singh has been transferred on Saturday. The SSP's transfer is the third one to happen. Earlier, the circle officer Satya Prakash was transferred to police training centre in Moradabad while the local chowki in-charge Suresh Kumar was transferred to Lalitpur district.

Sitapur SP Prabhakar Chaudhary has been appointed as the SSP Bulandshahr.

As per sources, the ADG intelligence on Bulandshahr violence places responsibility on senior officials on not acting on time during the violence. The report says that disturbing elements had cospired to create violence and tension escalated as  local administration and police officials had delayed response. It also says there was a dearth of adequate force to deal with the situation. 

The UP government has been facing flak after the violence in Bulandshahr on December 3 as CM Yogi Adityanath was seen attending a laser show in Gorakhpur at the time of the incident.

The sister of the cop has alleged conspiracy in his death as he was probing the murder of Mohammad Akhlaq who was was a lynching victim in Dadri, UP.

"My brother was investigating the Akhlaq case. I believe this is a conspiracy. We demand an inquiry. I want the CM (Yogi Adityanath) to meet our family He should be declared a martyr and a memorial should be built. We do not want money." she said.

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday meet the family members of inspector Subodh Kumar Singh who was killed in the Bulandshahr violence. The chief minister meet them at his Kalidas Marg residence in Lucknow. 

The CM had declared on Monday a compensation of Rs 40 lakh for the wife, Rs 10 lakh for the parents and a government job for a member of the family of the inspector, who was also an investigating officer in the 2015 Akhlaq lynching case.

He held a late night meeting in Lucknow with the chief secretary, the DGP, the principal secretary-home and the additional director general of police-intelligence. 

The Opposition has said that such incidents are part of attempts to incite communal unrest in the society ahead of Lok Sabha polls and demanded his resignation.
