TSENTR 2019: Indian Army Contingent Receives 'Bread And Salt' Welcome

The Indian Army Contingent arrived in Russia on Monday for Multi Nation War Games TSENTS 2019 exercise. Upon the arrival of the India Army team, the Russian side organised a traditional 'Bread and Salt' Cermony upon the Contingent's arrival.

TSENTR 2019 Military exercise will counter the threat of International terrorism

The Multilateral Exercise organised by Central Military Commission of Russia is organised with an aim to counter the threat of International Terrorism. The mega-event which will last from September 9 to September 23 at Donguz training ranges in Russia's Orenburg will have 8 countries participating in it.

TSENTR 2019 edition of the exercise will have two modules. The first module of the exercise will have counter-terror operations, reconnaissance operations, defensive measures and repelling airstrikes. The second and final module will work on offensive operations. Along with the host Russia, other participating countries include, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Pakistan and China

The military exercise aims at evolving drills for the participating armies. Military exercises at TSENTR 2019 are also a step towards ensuring Military security in the strategic Central Asian region.

INDO-PAK Army come face-to-face for the first time since Balakot Airstrike and Abrogation of Article 370 in J&K

The participation of Indi and Pakistan in the Anti-Terror Drill in Russia comes at a time when the bilateral relations between the two nations are at an all-time low post the Balakot airstrike by India and abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir on August 5. The diplomatic relations which were affected greatly post the Balakot airstrike which happened in February, reached a new low after the Indian Government abrogated Article 370 in the state of Jammu and Kashmir on August 5.
