The Multilateral Exercise organised by Central Military Commission of Russia is organised with an aim to counter the threat of International Terrorism. The mega-event which will last from September 9 to September 23 at Donguz training ranges in Russia's Orenburg will have 8 countries participating in it.
The military exercise aims at evolving drills for the participating armies. Military exercises at TSENTR 2019 are also a step towards ensuring Military security in the strategic Central Asian region.
The participation of Indi and Pakistan in the Anti-Terror Drill in Russia comes at a time when the bilateral relations between the two nations are at an all-time low post the Balakot airstrike by India and abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir on August 5. The diplomatic relations which were affected greatly post the Balakot airstrike which happened in February, reached a new low after the Indian Government abrogated Article 370 in the state of Jammu and Kashmir on August 5.
