Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray held a press conference in Mumbai and attacked the BJP. This was in retaliation to the comments made by now acting Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis who earlier on Friday claimed that Shiv Sena and Uddhav Thackeray have made personal attacks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Responding to the allegations made by Devendra Fadnavis, the Shiv Sena chief said that he has never made any comments on the Prime Minister and also pointed that the BJP is now siding with leaders like Dushyant Chautala who have made personal remarks on the Prime Minister earlier.

An old video clip that shows JJP chief and Deputy Chief Minister of Haryana Dushyant Chautala to be criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also played during the Press Conference. On May 8, ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Chautala had posted a video of himself criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi rather severely. In the video, Dushyant Chautala is seen criticizing PM Modi about the 2017 Panchkula violence in Haryana.
