On the occasion of Mahanavami, Yogi Adityanath performed 'Kanya Pujan' at the Gorakhnath temple to commemorate Durga Navami. During this puja, he washed the feet of the girls, vaccinated, and garlanded them. Chief Minister Adityanath also offered a gift to each of the girls on this auspicious occasion.

''We have organized an event where the kids would be having their meals, we have organized the event where the kids would come together and sit and eat. This is an auspicious occasion in which we can show respect for women empowerment further empowering motherhood,'' the CM stated while speaking about Kanya Pujan.

Yogi Adityanath on Women Empowerment 

Yogi Adityanath spoke of women and how their strength and dignity should be empowered. He further spoke of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, elucidating on the achievements made by the Government when it comes to empowering women. The CM spoke of various schemes that have been introduced under the leadership of PM Modi. He added that the schemes introduced by the PM have benefitted women across the country.

''Under the leadership of the honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme, the way the scheme has been utilized and campaigned across the country, we have received very good feedback on it. Along with that the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana and the Swachh Bharat mission in a way not only progressed towards a healthier country but has also empowered the dignity of women,'' he further added. 

Yogi Adityanath in an address to the media, informed the people about the achievements of the BJP Government on multiple issues in the country. He also spoke of the ambitious sanitation campaign introduced by the Prime Minister to provide for toilets around the rural regions in India. This was achieved in an effort to free India from open defecation. This project was a part of the Prime Minister's 'Swachh Bharat Mission' which was aimed to make the country a cleaner, healthier place to live in.
