While Rahul Gandhi during his address in Kerala's Pathanamthitta was adamant to whisk the Rafale issue and reiterate his 'chowkidar chor hai' jibe, his speech was drowned by blunders with the translator.
Accusing PM Modi, as the Congress president told the crowd, 'He took the vote of people of India and became the Chowkidar of Mr. Anil Ambani,' his address faced multiple hiccups as the translator kept spacing out for moments, forcing Rahul to repeat the words in his ear.
"Rs. 30 thousand crores was given to Mr. Ambani, he has never made an Aircraft in his life," as the Gandhi scion further tried to communicate with the crowd in Kerala, his translator standing clueless complained of echo next to him.
However, the issue persisted throughout his address, leaving even the Congress president smiling.
Attempting to strengthen the unity of North and South, Rahul Gandhi is contesting on the Wayanad seat in Kerala along with his family bastion Amethi in Uttar Pradesh for the Lok Sabha elections 2019. Gandhi during his rallies at Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, and Alappuzha in Kerala was accompanied by senior Congress leaders including Oommen Chandy, Ramesh Chennithala, Mullappally Ramachandran, KC Venugopal, and Mukul Wasnik.
While he persistently maintains his 'Chowkidar Chor hai' attack, Rahul Gandhi's recent 'Saare Modi Chor Hai' might get the Congress president into trouble as BJP leader and Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Sushil Kumar Modi has said that he will file a defamation suit against him for calling all Modi’s surname 'CHOR'.
Taking to Twitter, the Bihar Minister blasted the Congress chief and wrote:
Meanwhile in a massive jolt to Rahul Gandhi, the Supreme Court also has issued a notice to the Congress President asking him to respond to the criminal contempt petition filed by BJP leader Meenakshi Lekhi alleging that Mr Gandhi had committed contempt by attributing his ‘chowkidar chor hai’ remarks on the Rafale controversy to the top court.
