WATCH: 152 Kashmir Youth Join Indian Army's Light Infantry Regiment; Lt Gen KJS Dhillon Addresses Passing Out Parade

Army Lieutenant General Kanwal Jeet Singh Dhillon of GoC 15 Corps on Friday at a passing out parade of Jammu and Kashmir appealed to the mothers of Kashmir to hold their sons back from joining terrorism, this comes parallel to youth from Jammu and Kashmir are inspired to join the defence forces, with 152 youths to have now joined the Light Infantry Unit.

He further assured the mothers the safety and security of their sons after they are pulled out from the shambles of terror. 

He said, "Today from this stage, deviating a little from the parade, standing at this dias I say it with all my heart and appeal to all Kashmiri mothers. In the Kashmiri society, a mother plays a very crucial role and it's very important and is put on a pedestal. Today I make this personal request to all Kashmiri mothers, please stop your sons from joining terrorism. Whoever has joined terror tanks, bring them back and I guarantee the safety and security of your child. I guarantee to bring your son back to the mainstream."

This address was at Srinagar at the passing out parade of the light infantry unit, where 152 Kashmiri youth have now joined the Defence Force. 

Parallel to the parade, it was known that over 2000 youth were taking part in the recruitment rally organised by the India Army at the sports stadium in Doda for recruitment in Territorial Army (TA). 

Mubassir Ali, an Army aspirant told ANI that Wing Commander Abhinandan has been an inspiration and he is here to join the Army to serve his family and country
