In a shocking revelation, Republic TV on Friday has accessed the visuals of the exclusive renovation done in the bathroom of the house Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy will be staying at during his 'village' stay in Yadgir, which is a drought-ridden district in the state.
Visuals show that ahead of Kumaraswamy's village stay to 'bridge the gap' between the elite and the poor, Gurmitkal taluk in drought-ridden Yadgir district gets a facelift. Visuals show new sanitary fittings being fixed in the newly renovated bathroom in the drought-hit area which has no access to water.
Sources have also reported that new roads have been laid leading to the village while the government school and offices where the Chief Minister is scheduled to visit have been renovated and painted. Apart from the renovations, elaborate security arrangements have been made and all road-facing buildings in the village have also been painted with water sprinkled over mud roads, as per sources.
Kumaraswamy is set to visit Yadgir to interact with farmers and listen to their problems due to the current drought prevalent in the state. He boarded a train on Thursday to Yadgir under his Grama Vaastavya (Village Stay Programme) program in which he has claimed he will visit 2-4 villages every month.

After swearing-in as the chief minister of Karnataka on 23 May 2018, HD Kumaraswamy had refused to take up residence in the government accommodation. But Republic Media Network's investigation shows that the CM has been living and working from the 5-star hotel. The CMO, however, has denied that the channel's findings of working from the Taj West End Hotel.
Kumaraswamy made headlines before and during the Lok Sabha elections in which his party performed poorly. He became known for shedding tears in public places and complaining about compulsions of a coalition with the Congress in the state. Following the Lok Sabha debacle, the JD(S) decided to fight the local body polls alone.
