After serving the nation for four decades, on Tuesday, Anissia Batra's father Major General Batra appealed to the Prime Minister of India and the nation to join his fight for justice for his daughter Anissia. Major General Batra made an impassioned appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while speaking exclusively to Republic TV's Editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami, seeking justice for his daughter. Major General Batra requested the Prime Minister to instruct the Delhi police to conduct a fair and impartial enquiry in the case.
"I want to appeal to the PM to please instruct the Delhi Police to conduct a fair and impartial enquiry. All we are asking for is justice. We are not asking that you twist anything or you hide anything, Just do you investigations in a professional manner, they have as of now done it in a total unprofessional manner and it is so heart wrenching and I as a father feel you know robbed, that here something like this has happened and there is nobody to support us. The system is against us, I have given forty years of my life to the defence of my country and this is what I get in return the system which is not helping us. This is my earnest appeal to the Prime Minister,” appealed Major General Batra.
Anissia's father who claimed, while speaking exclusively to Republic TV, that Mayank Singhvi killed her daughter, appealed to the Prime Minister to ensure a fair probe in the case.
"I would like to make this personal and dispassionate appeal to you sir, please help us, please ensure that the instructions that are issued from your office to the police, to Delhi police to conduct a fair and an impartial enquiry, i am not asking for any fudging, I am not asking for anything out of the way. Do it dispassionately and we will be satisfied, because then the real truth will come out. That is my humble appeal to you, sir," said Major General Batra.
11 days after her death, Anissia Batra’s father Major General Batra spoke to Republic TV’s Editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami and made damning allegations against Anissia’s husband Mayank Singhvi. Major General Batra, while speaking exclusively to Republic TV said, “Mayank killed her”. Anissia's father also levelled stunning charges against the Delhi police, alleging he believed the “police is an accomplice with the perpetrators of the crime”.
The deceased, Anissia Batra, an air hostess with a German airlines found dead inside the premises of her residential building on July 13. She was rushed to Max hospital by her husband Mayank Singhvi where she was declared brought dead.
